Ballet
Ballet is a captivating and intricate dance form that has been celebrated for centuries, known for its elegance, precision, and storytelling through movement. Children who participate in ballet classes are introduced to a world of artistic expression, where they learn the foundational techniques that underpin many other dance styles. Each lesson involves a variety of exercises that enhance strength, balance, and flexibility, all while fostering an appreciation for music and rhythm.
What makes ballet particularly appealing for children is the blend of discipline and creativity it offers. As they progress through different levels, they experience the thrill of mastering challenging choreography and the joy of performing for an audience. The imaginative aspects of ballet, ignite their creativity and allow them to explore emotions and narratives through movement.
Learn Ballet with Ballyhoo
At Ballyhoo we follow the ISTD Ballet syllabus and work through all the grades from Pre-Primary to Grade 6 and on to Advanced levels for older teenagers. Whilst we do encourage children to take exams, they are not compulsory. The exam syllabus gives us a structure and then we add in lots of fun extras such as show routines and Christmas displays.
If your child is interested in trying ballet we have a range of classes starting from Pre-School (age 3) so get in touch and we can help to find the right ballet class for you.
